Mojo Bios

David Warnock
Guitarist/Songwriter/Vocals

Born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi. David enriches Mojo Theory's sound with his soothing captivating style. He began playing in the "dives" and "jukes" in Mississippi and Louisiana a few decades ago! His most recent band of note was Mari Jayne. His influences are Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Johnny Winter and Albert Collins.

CJ Justus
Bassist/Songwriter/Vocals

Born in Wuertzberg Germany, raised in Grove City, Ohio. In addition to the strong solid base lines, CJ is another credited songwriter! He has been involved with music since the tender age of twelve... (a few decades as well) performing with many local bands in the Grove City, Columbus area. Most notable was Winfall Starline and Fire Water. He draws his influences from Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, and BB King.

Todd Mollette
Drums/Vocals

Born and raised in Columbus Ohio, Todd has been playing for a few decades as well, three to be exact! Todd delivers a solid foundation with strong background vocals, he's not a songwriter (he claims) but he sure arranges pretty good! Over the years he has played with many bands, most recent band of note was Mari Jayne, who has opened for great acts like Quiet Riot and L.A. Gunns. His influences are Glen Kemuel, Buddy Rich and Joey Jordenson.

Jeff Morris
Keyboards/Vocals

Born in Plainfield New Jersey, settled in Columbus in 1970, Jeff also brings his decades of musical learning to Mojo Theory (he smiles but won't say how many). Jeff has a classical musical upbringing and has played with a number of bands of the day, including The Trolls, The Turnerville Trolley, and the Ofay Blues Band to name a few. He has composed his own music, played with choirs and R & B bands too!  (whew!) Jeff's extraordinary style adds the zig to zag... you will enjoy the one-of-a-kind style of Jeff Morris!

Mark Richards
Songwriter/Vocals

Also a Columbus native but his roots stem southwards to the heart of Bluesville, to the cradle of the blues... Memphis TN and Holly Springs Mississippi! His gritty vocal sound of conviction fuels the Mojo machine. He has been singing since he was a child, Started in the church with his four sisters, they called themselves the Richard Singers. (Another decader!) He says he can't remember not writing or singing, music has been with him his whole life. His influences are Shirley Ceaser, Bobby Womack, Sam Cooke. Bobby Bland and Johnny Taylor. He fell in love with the blues at a juke joint in the back woods in Benton County Mississippi... Mark is also a published author!
